In case you’d like to transfer a domain
from one domain registrar to another, you will need a special code, which may be referred to by many names – an EPP key, an Auth-Info code, a domain password, etc. All these names refer to the very same thing – a code that the domain owner receives from the current domain name registrar and gives to the new one upon ordering. Without a valid code, a domain transfer cannot be started and this is one of the safety mechanisms against unauthorized transfers used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For even better safety, the code contains digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you wish to transfer one of your domain names, you need to provide the new registrar company with the correct code.
